The company responds, day or night, to fires and alarms within the community and surrounding areas. In the past year, the company has extinguished several fires and has responded to countless false alarms, motor vehicle accidents, electrical wires down, and conditions in North Caldwell that are appropriate for a fire company response. Recently, the department responded mid-day to a house fire on Mountain Avenue. Although one firefighter was injured saving the homeowner's dog from the effects of the fire, there were no civilian injuries and the operation was successful in saving the structure and protecting the neighborhood. They have extinguished brush fires, and provided Mutual Aid to Caldwell during a recent 3 family home fire and the fire in the apartment building on Westover Avenue.
