In case of fire, exit the building safely. Then, when you're safe, DIAL 911** to report a fire

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

FF. Edmund V.  (Ned) Korte received an award from the friends of Animals for saving two dogs in one year. In saving one of the dogs, FF Korte was injured in the line of duty.

Both dogs survived.  One had smoke inhalation injuries and was given Oxygen.  How do you stick a snoot into one of those plastic masks?

Anyway, the owners were very relieved.  Sometimes losing a pet is more traumatic than losing your home to fire.

Here is a picture of Ned accepting the award, Also pictured are Chief D'Ascensio, Councilman Hampsson,  and a representative of the organization.
